Two human tombs dating from the Roman age have been discovered during work to install urban infrastructure in sectors 2, 3 and 4 on the left side of the road from Es Migjorn Gran to Binicodrellet. The tombs, which may date from the late Roman period, are unusual in that they have not been formed by excavating rock but were constructed from a mortar known as “opus signinum”, an impermeable mixture of lime, sand and ceramic fragments.
