I have found that there are some very expensive flights around this year. 
Thomsons in particular I found dear - maybe that has something to do with First Choice who are part of TUI too going AI this year so obviously Thomsons would prefer to keep their seats for those passengers going on a package deal, thereby making flight only option expensive to compensate for this.
Going BMI Baby both ways this May/June. In recent years have either gone Thomsons both ways or BMI/Thomson joint flights.
