Oceanographic investigators’ base in La Mola
Following a ten-month refurbishment, which cost over 418,000 euros (partly funded by the European Union), a base for oceanographic investigators has been set up at La Mola. A building in the fort’s Punta de Afuera Battery was converted to form bedrooms, kitchen and lounge together with a laboratory and study areas. This will house a permanent group of investigators who will study natural resources .
