Maó and Eroski collect over 170kgs of food for the needy
In a campaign run by the Municipal Food Bank, Maó council, the Eroski chain of supermarkets and many residents between them manged to collect over 170 kilograms of food during August. Their efforts should benefit around twenty families in need.
Amongst the items collected for this worthy and ever more needed cause were 40kgs rice, 28kgs dried pulses, 30kgs pasta, and five of tinned tomatoes, seven of sugar, 34 litres milk and 16 of oil.
