Mahón Fiestas 2010 (7th & 8th Sept)
Tuesday 7th September
1600 hrs. The ‘fabioler’ (flautist) sets out followed by the Dalt Sant
Joan Bugle & Drum Band and giants to tour the town.
1630 hrs. The fiesta flag is handed over and the cavalcade is formed, gathering in the Plaça Conquesta to set out for the Chapel of Gracia for compline at 1900 hrs.
2030 hrs. ‘Jaleo’ in Plaça Constitució with music from the Maó Band.
Wednesday 8th September
0800 hrs. Reveille with the Dalt Sant Joan Bugle & Drum Band and the ‘fabioler’ sets out. The fiesta flag is handed over and the cavalcade starts to gather, setting out from Plaça Conquesta to tour the town.
0900 hrs. The giants set out around the town.
1030 hrs. Mass for the riders in the Santa Maria church.
1230 hrs. ‘Jaleo’ in the Plaça Constitució with the Es Migjorn Gran
Band, followed by the presentation of green canes to the riders.
1900 hrs. The cavalcade sets out from Plaça Conquesta for races in the Cós de Gràcia.
2200 hrs. Batucada with the 7 Ginets through the town’s centralstreets.
