Sant Joan Fiestas (Eve of Sant Joan)

1400hrs The "fabioler" (flautist) asks permission to form the cavalcade. The Sant Joan flag is then handed to the "Caixer Fadrí" (bachelor rider) and the committee of riders is formed.
1800hrs "Caragol" in Es Born. The horses are ridden three times around the square, rearing, before heading to the chapel of Sant Joan de Missa for vespers.

At sunset, the riders return from Sant Joan de Missa

The cavalcade disperses with riders invited to refreshments at the Senior Riders home while the Municipal Band plays
24th june (Sant Joan Day)
0800 hrs. The “fabioler” asks permission to gather the riders.
1000 hrs. The cavalcade descends to Es Pla, passing Santa Clara.
“Caragol” in Es Pla and heats for the mediaeval mounted games.
“Corregudes” in Sa Plaça.
“Caragol” in Santa Clara.
The cavalcade starts to disband and the riders walk to the Church of Sant Francesc, accompanied by the Band, for Mass. The riders are then invited to the Seminario Diocesano for refreshments by the “Priest Rider” before retiring.
In the evening (at approximately 1700 hrs.), the cavalcade is formed once again.
Between 1800 and 1900 hrs. approximately, the Senior Rider invites the Council to Es Pla to watch the games.
“Caragol” through the town’s central streets (Santa Clara area).
The Senior Rider goes to the Santa Clara Convent to ask the Abbess to say prayers to avoid accidents during the jousting.

“Caragol” in Santa Clara.
The cavalcade disbands with the participating riders going to the Senior Rider’s home for refreshments.
The last notes are played on the “fabiol” (flute) in front of the
Priest Rider’s home.
