The Local Police of Maó incorporates 2 new vehicles to its motor pool
The Ajuntament de Maó presented/displayed two new vehicles that will complete the municipal grant of the Local Police. In particular, one is a car that will be destined to the unit of fast intervention 092 and a powerful motorcycle for the tasks of traffic control.
The councilman of Mobilitat, Mateu Llabrés, indicated that the city council has invested 42,495 Euros in the purchase of these two vehicles although it aimed that the Govern has financed 60 percent of the cost.
At the moment, the Local Police have a motor pool of 30 vehicles with an average antiquity of five years. Concretely, they have eight patrol cars and 4x4 destined to patrol and units of first intervention of the 092, six powerful motorcycles displacement for the control of the traffic, seven motorcycles of average power displacement and four bicycles destined to the police of district and five vans and “pick-up” for workings of crane, maintenance and civil defense.
Llabrés assured that the objective of the government team is to guarantee the benefit of services, or of control like of support or mediation. In this sense, “from the city council we will continue working to maintain in good state all the motor pool, since the Local Police is in numerous occasions the body of security of first intervention to which the majority of residents of the city goes”.
