New tourist supply in Es Mercadal: equestrian excursions by senderismo routes
The municipality of Es Mercadal gains a new tourist supply for its municipal. Thanks to an agreement between the Ajuntament and the Equelia foundation, this organization will organize daily excursions.
In particular, by means of this agreement the Ajuntament yields to the foundation to be able to accede and to circulate through the route of senderismo next to the fairground. Of this form, the foundation will organize excursions with an objectives: to attract the equestrian tourism and that these tourists visit the municipality will go to restaurants and factories of crafts, for example.
The representative of the foundation Jeffrey Quirk stated “a class tourism” and with being able adqusitivo stop. “They are profesioanales of attracted the equestrian world and will visit Menorca, besides the island, by the horse of native race”.
On the other hand, Francisco Expensive, also of the foundation, is outstanded that “we want the client to be active all the day”. For this reason, five different equestrian activities are offered, as the taming, jumps, circuits in routes and trotones; but in addition “our intention is that they enjoy Menorca”. “We need the clients to discover that the Minorcans took the world of the horse in the heart”, Quirk has observed. “It is not a massive tourism, but that we are going to take to clients in the beginning and end of the season”.
This it is the first agreement of the Equelia foundation with a city council, that wants to extend more to others. The foundation, nevertheless, also considers the organization of an international congress every year on the world of the equestrian tourism.
