In Menorca the ‘Armed Forces Day’ was celebrated at the beginning of June with an open day at the Naval Base in Maó.
Numerous interested visitors – including many families and some foreigners – attended the exhibitions which had been jointly prepared by the island units of army, navy and Guardia Civil. Local authorities were represented by, among others, the Island Councillor for Transport, Damià Borràs, as well as the Mayors of Maó and Ciutadella, Arturo Bagur and Llorenç Brondo.
