13th February (from 21'30h)

consisting of groups and carriages with the musical accompaniment of SOL AFRICA group. It will be passing for the main streets in town, till arrive to the Sala Multifuncional where the Masks ball will be on with the music of group OASIS

This year the contest will be decided by the people (popular jury). To take part in the contest you have to inscribe in these modalities: individual/couple or groups.

The prizes are as follows:

INDIVIDUAL/COUPLE:1st prize 100€; 2nd prize 75€; 3rd prize 50€
GROPUS: 1st prize 250€; 2nd prize 150€; 2 3rd prizes of 100€ each; 2 4th prizes 75€ each.

Did not go to this carnival last year so was unsure what would be going on!!! Well it was brilliant and excellent costumes. This year they had a African Group with fire eaters, man on stilts and band. The best dressed had to be the kinder eggs lol and the funniest was a group dressed up as tourists with cameras and their guide totally had me in stictches.

The down side took my new camcorder and the blooming battery ran out lol but Chris saved the day by taking some wounderful pictures on his camera so looking forward to seeing them and will be on the forum soon (under the heading photography).
