The Menorcan Charity Players would certainly not shoot anyone who can read music and could help them out; in fact they would welcome them with open arms.
Their next show, which is to be held at the Aeroclub on 1st and 2nd August, has several Old Thyme Music Hall numbers (for which they have all the music) and the Players are desperately looking for someone to record the backing tracks to accompany the singers.
The pianist would not even have to be available on the nights. Transport from anywhere on the island can be arranged.
Anyone interested in helping the Players in their worthy endeavours should call Gerry Wright on 609 914 930.

The “End of the Pier” show
The “End of the Pier” show produced by the Menorca Charity Players at the beginning of the month attracted good audiences for both the performances (80 the first night and a capacity 90 the second) and raised around 2,000 euros for local charities. Half of this money was presented to the Red Cross in the form of DVD players purchased from A. Palliser’s at a generous 50% discount. The players’ next production, around the end of November, will be an ambitious comedy adaptation of the popular TV programme “‘Allo, ’Allo”.
