Invitation to walkers from Great Britain, mainland Spain and other European countries
A week-king series of round-the-island sponsored walks in aid of local charities are being organised by Colin Guanaria, Arthur Quayle, Ivor White and others to take place in lat May/early June 2010.
Proceeds from sponsorship will be in aid of local charities.
This will be a pilot scheme to enable the team to put together further walks to take place in September and October of next year, with an invitation to walkers from Great Britain, mainland Spoain and other European countries. All walkers will be sponsored in their own countries, which is hoped will achieve the charitable aims.
Deborah Heller, Menorcas Hon. British Consul is giving her support and possibly support from the tourist board and other similar bodies.
Sponsorship will be sought from various business enterprises or any interested party.
