I do not normally have anything to say bad on Fornells but had to inform people if they are coming over and pay a visit.
I went for a coffee this morning at the Hostel Palma as it is lovely and you get a big cup. I thought I would pay straight away so asked how much in Spanish and he replied uno con sesenta y cinco now I understand how much that is but was that shocked I replied ¿en Inglés? Which he said 1.65 which I thought he had said WELL NOT PLEASED I have never been so disgusted in my life!!! I have never paid that price for a cup of coffee even on the port of Mahon in full season.
I noticed the menú del día in most of the restaurants are charging 10 euros instead of the 6.50 euros when it is out of season.
As a resident I think it is disgusting especially in this climate. I know the tourist season has been bad this year but still this is taking the mickey
SO WATCH OUT they seem to be trying to make up for the losses this year. But in saying that can I say that Fornells everytime I have vistited throughout this year has been heaving!!!
