Menorca Twenty/20 Cup starts this weekend
The Menorca Cricket Club is to host the Menorca Twenty/20 Cup competition which this year has attracted three other teams; Rampside C.C., Barnsley C.C. and the Magpies.
Two matches will be played per day in the first round, from Saturday to Monday; Tuesday will see the semi-finals, Wednesday will be a rest day (unless games are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions in which case there may be play on Wednesday) and the plate final and cup final will be played on Thursday.
The order of play is as follows:
Saturday 17th
1130 hrs. Rampside v MCC
1530 hrs. Barnsley v Magpies
Sunday 18th
1130 hrs. Rampside v Magpies
1530 hrs. Barnsley v MCC
Monday, 19th
1130 hrs. Rampside v Barnsley
1530 hrs.Magpies v MCC
Tuesday, 20th
1130 hrs. Semi-final between 1st and 3rd placed teams
1530 hrs. Semi-final between 2nd and 4th teams
Wednesday, 21st
Rest day
Thursday, 22nd
1130 hrs. Plate final
1530 hrs. Cup final
Spectators are more than welcome at the MCC’s attractive ground in Biniparrell where liquid refreshments and snacks are available from the bar.
