Ferreries has a deixallería, a recycling installation. Residents in Ferreries can take batteries, light bulbs, electrical goods, furniture and other goods for disposal.
This is the second one in Menorca. San Luis having the first and Es Castell due to be the next although the site has not been decided upon.
The money comes from FEDER, European funds. The service is free of charge to residents and companies that deposit suitable goods for recycling will be paid 105 Euros per ton. The Consell Insular wants one administration to run all the deixallerias.
