‘Don Quijote’
Ballet featuring stars from the Mariinsky & Bolshoy
The star dancers from two the most renowned Russian ballets, the Mariinsky (formerly known as the Kirov) and the Bolshoy, join forces to stage the original version of this ballet. Divided into three acts, it is based on chapter 19 of the second book of ‘El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha’ (The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de La Mancha). The music is by Ludwig Minkus and the libretto by Marius Petipa.
