9TH INTERNATIONAL HALF-MARATHON AND 8TH POPULAR ILLA DE MENORCA RACE

Ciutadella transforms into an urban circuit to hold these two races in simultaneous fashion, thus combining 'running to win' with 'running just for fun'. The participants of the demanding half-marathon and those participating in the leisurely -although not easy- popular race will be starting together to then continue along each different itinerary, with both reaching the same finish line at the 'Plaza del Born'.

The 9th Half-Marathon is divided into 18 categories, differentiated by sex, age and the possibility to run for clubs or teams. All participants will have to complete a 21-kilometre urban circuit. Participants of the 8 categories in which the 8th Popular Race consists, will be competing on a 3700 metre circuit.

The organisation has prepared trips from Alcudia and Palma (Majorca), Madrid and Barcelona, along with the possibility of staying in Ciutadella for one or more nights. You can find all necessary information at the web site for the race.

More promotion and more athletes in the great race of the year

Ciutadella will be againtoday, the Balearic capital of athletics with the ninth edition of the Mitja Marató Illa de Menorca, accompanied by a popular race under the organization of the club Xtrem Menorca Atletisme.
