Ferreries starts on projects financed by State funds
C.M.W. Maó
The State Government has transferred 70% of the total cost of the four projects put forward by Ferreries Council for state funding, work on which has already started and must be completed within a year. The Council will received the remaining 30% once the projects have been finished.
Improvements to the Plaza Constitució will be carried out by a temporary consortium formed by Obres Ciutadella and Tolo Pons S.L. The project will take three months and cost 396,950 euros.
Reforms to the former Local Police headquarters, next to the Town Hall, will be undertaken by Sánchez Coll S.L. at a cost of 227,749 euros and should be completed within six months. The building will house Council offices. The same company will also be responsible for the 78,336 euro project to improve Calle Goya, work which should take ninety days.
The final project, improvements to the Castell de Santa Àgueda School will be carried out by Construcciones Sa Naveta for 70,200 euros. This is the only project on which work has not yet started, as the alterations will be done during the summer holidays.
