Parliament calls for vascular surgeons "Mateu Orfila"

Balearic Parliament yesterday approved a proposal submitted by the PP for urging the Department of Health and Consumer Affairs to assess the possibility of a vascular surgery unit at the Hospital Mateu Orfila.
Menorca is the only island that does not currently have this type of service, so that patients have to travel to Palma to be addressed. The Council has already approved an initiative similar to that adopted by the House yesterday autonomous.
The proposal put forward by Deputy Antònia Gener popular four points, considering the steps to create squares of vascular surgery in Menorca, assess the possibility of moving to the island specialists such form Mateu Orfila Hospital surgeons to expand their knowledge in standard surgical techniques such operations, and air medical transport to ensure a quick, reliable and permanent.
