Valeriano Allés two legs down in semifinals
The Ciutadella ladies’ volleyball team lost the first leg in the semifinals for the Superleague title against CAV Murcia, 3:0, on Saturday, a score that was unfortunately repeated in Sunday’s encounter.
The competition now moves to Valeriano’s home turf with the next leg being played on Saturday. Should the local team prove victorious (the semifinals being the best of five) the fourth leg will also be held in Ciutadella. The final leg will be in Murcia, that team having the advantage of three home legs by virtue of finishing above Valeriano Allés in the league.
Valeriano’s achievement of reaching the semifinals qualifies the team for European competition, their final position in the Spanish league determining which of the competitions they will be eligible for.
