Es Mercadal hire 50 unemployed with the State Plan Investment

Fifty of the eighty operatives working in the works of the Municipality of Es Mercadal from the State Investment Plan will be recruited directly from the unemployment lists.
In total the municipality has planned to implement eleven works by a total of 856,000 euros, 20,000 less than originally tendered. Among the bids submitted by different firms (an average of six in each project), the emphasis has been the recruitment of unemployed (35 points) and maintenance of existing posts (25 points), among other items.
Six will be major works and the other minor. These have already started and will last for half a month. In this case we have hired 24 workers, all of them unemployed. For their part, major works have already been awarded and will start in two weeks. In this case, hired 67 workers, 36 of them unemployed.
