LL.AC Ferreries
One of the aims of Local Agenda 21 in Ferreries was to improve mobility in the population. Which is closer to becoming reality is the restriction to passage of the historic center (Place de l'Església and Sant Bartomeu, basically), but is defined by the magnitude of this change.
Thus, to the police report suggests the transit close to the height of the Costa del Convent, thereby also cut the road to the Plaza Jaume II. However, the mayor of Ferreries, Josep Carreras, is more favored in principle to restrict traffic only to the Sant Bartomeu. When in doubt, the neighbors also take the floor, and next week to choose between three alternatives: to close up to the Convent of the Coast, to restrict traffic in the street Sant Bartomeu, or that the latter route only allow the movement of cars, not trucks. The result of this referendum will be moved to the neighborhood workshops of Local Agenda 21, to discuss the findings and then take a decision.
Restricting traffic within the historic center is the first proposal can be realized, but the report of the local police chief also has to consider other measures. For example, the extension of controlled parking hours in the blue zone which is not paid but which can only be parked for an hour and half.
