Sa Nostra’s clients to dictate the use of the bank’s profits
C.M.W. Maó
The bank Sa Nostra has started a three-month campaign called “Participa” (“Participate”) which will allow its clients to be the ones to decide where the bank’s profits will be spent.
A survey will be carried out on the four areas of action - social action, education, culture and the environment - which can be answered by clients in branches of the bank or on the Internet. Participation will be encouraged through the mass media, advertising hoardings, marketing via SMS and mailings and even YouTube and Facebook. Clients have another incentive for participating in the campaign as they will be entered in a draw for a Peugeot 207 AM60 Diesel.
All this information will help Sa Nostra to adapt its Social Works programme in accordance with the needs and interest of its clientele. The aim is to make the best possible use of available funds, which this year have been put at 13.3 million euros, and to respond in the best way to social demands, in the view of the clients.
Some of the activities already programmed for this year have been included as the result of a survey carried out on 800 people which showed that there was more demand for actions in the welfare area, followed by the environment, education and culture.
One of the advertisements for the campaign will feature Menorcan gymnast Bet Salom, who has recently resigned from the Spanish national team.
