Extending the "Mateu Fontirroig 'solve the surplus of students

The expansion and reform of the College of Public Fontirroig Mahón Mateu, under Educational Infrastructure Plan 2008-2009, will begin next March, as the delegate moved yesterday territorial Government balearic Education, Joan Coll, after meeting last Friday with representatives of the Institut d'Infrastructures Balear i i Educatius Cultural Services (IBISEC).
The Mateu Fontirroig "listed as a center for a single line (with a room available for each course) with a capacity for 225 students, currently accommodates 358 students, a surplus that has been temporarily resolved with the installation of three prefabricated classrooms ."After the enlargement," Mateu Fontirroig "will become a center of two lines suitable for 450 students," said Coll.In this sense the expansion doubled the capacity of the school building with nine classrooms (three of six primary and secondary), plus a multipurpose room and expanding the dining room.
During the period of the works, with budget of around 2.5 million euros will be made available three containers (which will join the three already existing) that will host students in Early Childhood Education.
