IBB to open luxury hotel in Menorca
C.M.W. Maó
IBB Hotels has announced that it will be opening a luxury hotel “without equal in Menorca” in Sant Climent next year. The IBB Cugó Gran Boutique Hotel will offer exclusive service in luxurious surroundings.
The group was founded in Menorca in 1992 by Damián Llull and ten years later the Von Der Heyden Group became its biggest shareholder. The company already manages three hotels in Menorca - the Aquarium and Playa Azul in Cala en Porter and the Binicudi in Binibèquer - and operates four hotels in Spain, two in Germany and two in Poland. Its expansion plans for Spain include hotels on golf courses in Valencia and Caravaca and a spa hotel in Valdepeñas, due to open in 2010, all of which will be four-star luxury establishments. Within two years IBB Hotels will operate a total of 20 hotels; expanding by offering management contracts to hotels which already exist.
