Nobody should miss the dance show that is to take place on the upcoming Friday, July 25th as of 21:30 hours, as it will be none other than Manuel de Falla’s El Amor Brujo under the direction of Joan Taltavull, the same at the Princesa Joana Square.
El Amor Brujo narrates the story of Candela, a gypsy girl whose love for Carmelo is tormented by the ghost of her faithless former lover.
The work is distinctively Andalusian in character, including both the music and the literature. The libretto was written by Gregorio Martínez Sierra in the Andalusian dialect of the gypsies and the music contains moments of remarkable beauty and originality, including the celebrated Ritual Fire Dance and the Dance of Terror.
The event will be free for the general public.
