The Ciutadella-based women’s volleyball team made a good to start to the new season in the Superleague this week.

Playing a convincing and authoratitive game at home, the local side beat the University of Burgos by 3 sets to 0.

The team’s next game is away to Sanse in Madrid.

Another victory for Valeriano Allès

The Ciutadella ladies’ volleyball team, Valeriano Allés, recorded their third successive victory in the Superliga on Saturday, when they beat the visiting team Voleibol Asociación Toledo 3:1.

The Menorcan team remains in second position in the league, behind Tubillete.com Tenfe. Marichal who moved up from third position after their 3:1 victory away to C.A. Voleibol Murcia, last week’s leaders who have now dropped to fourth position.

Next Saturday the local team faces an away match against C.V. La Caja de Canarias.
