Local volleyball team tops national league
Valeriano Allés won their fourth consecutive victory on Saturday when they faced La Caja de Canarias, away from home. The Ciutadella team had to fight hard before emerging the winners 3 sets to 1 against a team which proved surprisingly difficult to beat despite having lost all their games to date this season.
The victory puts the Menorcan team on level points with last week’s leaders of the Superliga, tubillete.com Tenerife Marichal, but ahead on the balance of sets.
