End of the Formula 1 trials at the Aeroclub
The Formula 1 team Toyota has now cancelled the aerodynamic tests scheduled for March at the Aeroclub, a decision already taken by Renault and BMW at the end of last year.
Restrictions imposed by the sports governing body, the FIA, regarding tests, combined with the financial problems affecting the automobile sector have put an end to the Aeroclub’s use as a testing ground for the teams. Sadly, local fans of Formula 1 will now either have to travel off the island to see their heroes in action or content themselves with following the races on television.
