Play in Menorca 20/Twenty Cup to start this Saturday

The local cricket club’s ground at Biniparrell is the venue once again for the Menorca 20/Twenty Cup, which was held for the first time last year.
Play starts this coming Saturday, with five teams competing for the title: Rampside from Cumbria; Rawdon (Yorkshire); Northern Nomads (northwest England); the All Stars (from various places); and the Menorca Cricket Club. Two 20/Twenty matches will be played each day, the morning session starting at 1100 hrs. and the afternoon at 1430 hrs. The programme of matches is as follows:
Saturday 18th
1100 hrs. Menorca v Rampside
1430 hrs. All Stars v Rawdon
Sunday 19th
1100 hrs. Rawdon v N. Nomads
1430 hrs. Menorca v All Stars
Monday 20th
1100 hrs. Rampside v Rawdon
1430 hrs. All Stars v N. Nomads
Tuesday 21st
1100 hrs. Menorca v Rawdon
1430 hrs.Rampside v N. Nomads
Wednesday 22nd
1100 hrs. Menorca v N. Nomads
Thursday 23rd
1100 hrs. Play off finals

Spectators are always most welcome at the Menorca Cricket Club’s deightful ground at Biniparrell (in the Sant Lluís district), which is to be found on the road between S’Ullestrà and Llucmaçanes. Entrance is free and snacks and refreshments are available from the club’s bar.
