The recinto ferial will see Es Mercadal multiplied their surface thanks to the rehabilitation of three of its ships and an investment of 1,200,000 euros.
The total project cost will be financed by 50 per cent (600,000 euros) by European FEDER funds managed by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy of the Balearic Government, by 25 per cent (300,000 euros) by the Balearic Government and finally, the remaining 300,000 euros, between the Council and the City Council insular town.
The project involves the rehabilitation of the first floor of the current Standing Craft Center, with an area of 319.25 square meters and accommodate the expected craft future museum of Menorca. The second reshuffle will apply to the current municipal hall of the brigade, located on the right side of the enclosure and 327.85 square meters. Will address the location of a vast museum space that probably will house a permanent exhibition on radios, among other activities. Finally, the third rehabilitation will involve the development of a third of the garrison flag that has an area of 468.35 square meters. This third operation will double to 50 percent of the surface current site.
