Inauguration of meeting space in Cala en Porter

An open space designated as a meeting area, of 4,702 square metres, has officially been opened in Cala en Porter. The area, which has been in use this summer, has been developed with respect to the plant life that was already found there.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the mayor of Alaior underlined that the area is the first step in the development of other projects that will improve the urbanisation. Integrated within the space is a building of 600 square metres that serves a variety of public services such as health care, social services, post office and the local residents association. A multi-function room has also been incorporated. The cost of the project, 780,000 euros, was borne by Alaior Council, Island Council, Balearic Govt. and Turespaña.
