Local cyclist wins junior European title
Cyclist Albert Torres achieved a remarkable feat last week when, not only was he crowned junior European Champion in the individual pursuit, but he also broke the Spanish record on four occasions.
The youngster, who was competing in the championships in Proszkow, Poland, broke the Spanish team pursuit record twice, although the team only finished in fourth place.
He then went on to break a further two Spanish records in the individual pursuit and won the gold medal, having beaten the defending champion.
