Torre d'en Galmes
This is one of the biggest villages in menorca and one of the largest archaeological sites in the Balearic Islands and is reached via the Son Bou road(Alaior) Chronologically, it dates from the pre-Talayotic era (before 14- BC) to the Roman era, although some remains from the Middle Ages have also been found. The site has a public area containing the talayots and the taula enclosure and a private zone with dwellings which extends towards the south with houses that are more or less circular, compatmentalised by radial walls, that converge on a central patio with a cistern. One of the most outstanding features of the talayotic village is the water system, sing natural filters excavated in the rock and channels to carry it to large tanks.
